EIMAN AL QUBATI (EQ) is an Emirati artist. She graduated from Biomedical Engineering and has a master’s in business admissions.
“I see painting as an art that is sophisticated and responsive to stress. I like to paint landscapes with their charming colors. Feeling achievement and relaxing during & after finishing any artwork.
I started to take courses and practice painting in 2017 till now. I am painting with oil colors, Acrylic and doing some work with mixed media. I am also doing artwork with fluid art and Resin. I joined some internal Exhibitions such as Sorbonne university Exhibition for UAE national day in 2017, Afnan Exhibition in Nation Tower Abu Dhabi on Jan 2018 and Mar 2019. In Nov 2019, I joined Hibr Al Wafaa Art Exhibition through the reflection Art Gallery. Moreover, I participated in some exhibitions through La parole art gallery such as A form of tolerance in Feb 2019, Abu Dhabi International Hunting & Equestrian Aug 2019 and FLAIR exhibition in Abu Dhabi Ladies Club in Jan 2020. I am enjoying my art journey and I hope to become an international artist and participate in international exhibitions in different countries.”
What made you want to become a painter?
Eiman: Continue Practice and attending art sessions.

Can you remember an instance when you first knew you were a creative person? What were you doing?
Eiman: In school, the art teacher loved my paintings but I didn’t give attention to art. I was doing one painting yearly for UAE national day in my work, they liked them and placed them on the wall, however, I didn’t practice till I met my lovely international artist Claude Habib in La Parole Art Gallery in 2017 and realized that I need ART.

Are you currently exploring your art career full time or part-time? If full time, what did you leave behind to pursue your art career? If part-time, what do you do in your “day job”?
Eiman: It’s not a full-time art career. Maybe in the future. I studied engineering and worked as an engineer for some time. Currently I work in administration.

What is your personal motto or a quote that you like or live by?
Eiman: When words fail art speaks.

How would you define your visual style?
Eiman: I am doing fine art, inspiration art, modern art, abstract, fluid art, no specific style.

Where do you “find” your ideas?
Eiman: Mostly from nature, and then paint it with my feelings during painting (I do feel it).

What’s happening now at your studio?
Eiman: Painting a quiet house with happy trees.

What has been your most favorite project so far, and why?
Eiman: My first exhibition I joined in Sorbonne University arranged by Laparole Art gallery in Dec 2017. Also, In 2019 when I finished the first time 91.4 *121.9 cm canvas size in 15 hours only.

What do you have coming up in the future?
Eiman: To become an international artist, participating in art exhibitions in different art galleries around the world especially Italy, Switzerland and Austria.
