Spread the love

My name is Lidia Semenova, I live in Ukraine, Lutsk, I am 45 years old. My artist’s pseudonym is LIDI FON RID. This is the shortened surname of my family Von Ridlinger.

As a child, I loved to draw, spent hours looking at the canvases of great masters, I especially liked Michelangelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, but my favorite picture was Infanta Margarita Diego Velazquez, I watched this picture for long hours, it fascinated me.

I dreamed that I would paint pictures, as beautiful as I saw, and my second dream was to create clothes, all kinds of dresses, blouses, and all kinds of beauty for women. When I was 19, I took sketches of my first collection of women’s clothing to a factory in my city, they took sketches and they did not call back, after a couple of months I saw almost all my models in their stores, and when I came to the director, they told me that their designers did it and I had nothing to do with it, because of my age, I could not prove my copyright right.

My parents sent me to study at an art school, which I successfully finished, but since my parents thought that an artist is not a profession, I chose the profession of a financier.

She successfully graduated from the Ternopil Academy of National Economy with a degree in audit and went to work at the State Tax Service of Ukraine, where she worked for about 10 years and then continued to work in the field of finance, opening her own bureau to help business.

There was always a craving to draw, but it was very rare to find the time, those rare paintings that I painted over the years were presented to loved ones.

In 2015, my grandmother, who lived with me, asked me to move to live back to her homeland, where she was born and raised, to France, the city of Cimeak. We doubted for a long time, but my grandmother dreamed of returning home and we made the decision to go, and I dreamed of how I would paint beautiful landscapes there, but on the way my grandmother got worried, got a stroke, and went to the Heavenly Father, we returned to Ukraine. These days I realized that we were given one life to live it happily, in love, with loved ones, doing something that brings pleasure and goodness to the world.

I started painting with oil, my idea was that my paintings were alive, magical, bright, filled with the energy of love and bring love and harmony to people because I think that creating goodness and love is what we live for. . To create good for yourself, your family, people around you, share the love with the world. Each of my paintings is a kind fairy tale that will bring healing to any person.

At this time, I still work in my office, but I have allotted time for painting, for myself. I usually paint paintings either in the early morning, after meditations, while the city is still asleep, and so beautifully, tenderly, calmly or late in the evening, when already everything calms down and you can easily get involved in the fraud.

Very often I dream of a plot or idea of a picture, sometimes I see a picture in life and convey it, each picture is painted in different ways, some quickly, and some even several months, everything happens in different ways.

At this time, my painting “The Tree of Hope” is participating in the LA FONDATION competition, which takes place in Paris and is dedicated to the theme of the rebirth of nature during Covid 19.

In 2018, my first solo exhibition was successfully held, in the same year one of my paintings was sold at auction. In 2020, two of my paintings took part in the GOLD TIME season 16 competition, which was held in London.

My paintings are powerful energy of love, harmony, healing, good, with which they will fill people and the house in which they will be, this is the energy of life, this is more than just painting.

At the moment I am writing a couple of paintings in the style of Rachelle Ruysch, I really liked this extraordinary woman, and of course, they will not be copied, they will be paintings with my energy, style, love, and beauty.
